This is Princesa 👑 and she needs a foster!
We rescued her from a heartbreaking situation - a woman found herself in a bad situation in which she needed to relocate immediately, and sadly couldn’t bring her beloved dogs with her.

Princesa is a friendly, well behaved pup. She is a 12 year old shih tzu mix who is house trained, walks well on a leash, and is good with other dogs, adults and kids.

We will supply all food, supplies and medical. She just needs a safe and loving place to land until we can find her a new forever home 💖

We rescued this adorable fluff ball today, but she $We rescued this adorable fluff ball today, but she comes with a sad story and a sad prognosis. Cutie was found paralyzed and brought into the shelter. It’s believed she was hit by a car. X-rays determined she has a fractured pelvis, broken back, and snapped spinal cord. The doctor seeing her is almost 100% sure she’ll never walk, but is also confident she will get passed the pain. She needs to stay hospitalized for a couple of nights, and then needs to go to a specialist to see if she needs surgery for her pelvis, though the doctor says there’s no surgery that will fix the neurological issues. For now, we need to keep her comfortable, keep her on pain meds, and express her bladder for her while we get her a surgeon appointment to see if she needs surgery or (hopefully) just strict crate rest. She will need to get wheels eventually. Ahh can you handle this cuteness?! 💕
Chia is the dog we rescued from an extreme hoarding home. It was clear she wasn’t being cared for: She had major hair loss on her back, had very matted, dirty hair, had quite possibly the worst teeth we’ve ever seen (and that’s saying something!), and a large mass on her side. She was timid, but friendly.
After rescuing her, we got Chia a groom, took her to the vet about her hair loss, got her a much needed dental (where unfortunately they had to remove all of her teeth except for her canines bc they were so rotten), and had her mass removed (good news, it was benign!)
Now this playful, silly, friendly, cuddly, loving girl is ready to find her forever family or person who will always make sure she feels loved and cared for.

Chia is 6-7 years old, and is a Maltese mix. You can fill out an application for her on our website!

No idea how we haven’t found a foster for Peppy yet! This adorable boy is still stuck in boarding and that’s not where we want him to spend the holidays. He needs someone with experience who can provide boundaries for him. Once he knows his boundaries he’s a well behaved pup! He just needs structure and to learn he’s not the boss. Our trainer is happy to help a foster establish these boundaries for Peppy. Peppy is loving, friendly and house trained, and good with other dogs. We will provide all food, medical and supplies.

BamBam needs a new foster (or at least a temporary one from 12/8 - 12/13)! BamBam is just an all around good boy. He is 10 months old and about 40 lbs. He’s a strong, energetic puppy who needs plenty of exercise. He gets along with other dogs, kids and anyone he meets! This sweetheart is already house trained and crate trained. We have some amazing news … Apollo has been adopted!
Apollo became a PPR dog when he was abandoned by his owners at a boarding facility. Apollo is a young, energetic, happy and friendly boy, and we were baffled that he wasn’t swooped up right away. We had Apollo for almost 8 months, but as they say, good things come to those to wait.
Apollo now has a loving forever person, and a big yard to play in. This boy deserves all of the happiness, and he finally has it 🧡

FRITO UPDATE:
Frito’s surgery went well! The bones were very spread out and already setting in those new places, leading the doctor to think this injury happened before the surrendering owners said it did 😢 The surgeon was able to align the bones in place, and his leg is sturdy. He has pins in his bones, as well as wire to hold the bones in place. He also has pins that are holding his leg to an external brace, to stabilize the leg. His joints were all still in tact, thankfully. Because he’s so young and growing, there’s no way to know if the injury will effect his growth platelets, so he may have one shorter leg, but hopefully not.
He goes back in next week for a recheck. Puppies heal quickly, so they’re hopeful we can remove the external pins and brace in 3-4 weeks.
He is allowed to put pressure on it, but does need to be kept separate from other dogs and can’t have much more activity than a short slow walk.

We’re so grateful for all of your quick support and donations so we could save his leg, and save it quickly.

Frito will need a new foster next week, if anyone is interested in fostering this brave little puppy.

This is Frito, and he’s 5 weeks old. We rescued

This is Frito, and he’s 5 weeks old. We rescued him today, along with his mom and 4 siblings. When he was handed over to us, we noticed his leg was incredibly swollen and obviously broken (the surrendering owners had not mentioned anything about this to us). Our volunteer who was transporting him rushed him to the vet for an X-ray (see next photo), which told us not only does he have multiple breaks, but that’s it’s shattered in other areas.
He is on pain meds for the night and has an orthopedic surgery tomorrow. We can’t let him sit in pain, so we took a leap of faith and booked it, hoping we’ll be able to raise enough funds to cover it.

Because he’s less than 1 LB and his leg is so badly shattered, they may not be able to save the leg, but they are hopeful they can.
This surgery will be expensive, as will his follow up care, so we are reaching out to our community in hopes we can raise enough money to cover the surgery. Our starting quote is $1500.

Chia is looking and feeling great after her groom

Chia is looking and feeling great after her groom today!

We rescued Chia last week from a neglectful situation. She was found laying in a bunch of garbage in the yard of a hoarding house. She was incredibly dirty, matted, and nails overgrown, and her teeth are some of the worst we’ve seen.
She is missing most of her hair on the lower half of her back, and has a mass on her side, both conditions that were not treated by a vet before we rescued her. Oh, and her name was “Cheap” 😢
She’s a little timid, but besides that, she’s now an incredibly happy girl, who is very playful with other dogs and with socks 😆, super friendly, and is very affectionate and loving. She listens well, walks well on a leash, rides well in the car, and loves to lay on the couch with you.
She’s medium - high energy, and the vet estimates she’s around 6 years old.

She will be having her teeth cleaned and mass removed and biopsied, and then will be ready to look for her forever home! She’s sure to put a smile on your face!

We have been asked to take in five 8 week old puppies and their mom and are seeking foster homes immediately for them. Mom is great with people but hasn’t been tested around dogs yet. Karo, Jack and Peppy desperately need fosters. They’ve all been stuck on boarding for SO long, and that’s no life for a dog. Also, their boarding costs total over $2000 a month, so that makes it hard for us to rescue anyone else.

Peppy and Karo need an experienced foster, while Jack is a mellow, easy guy but needs to be the only dog in the home. No small kids for any of these guys.

We’ve had Peppy since June, and for all but a fe

We’ve had Peppy since June, and for all but a few of those weeks he’s been in boarding 😢 That is no life for a dog, and we’re pleading on behalf of Peppy, for someone to foster him.

While he was rescued from euthanasia, no dog deserves to be kenneled for this long.

Peppy is a very sweet boy. He will push boundaries in the beginning, though, so needs an experienced dog person to will be firm with him so he learns he is not in charge. His boarder has been consistent about this, and Peppy has been behaving great since he’s learned he’s not the boss.
He’s great with other dogs, but because of his initial behavior, should not go to a home with kids.

Peppy is house trained, walks well on a leash, but does have some barrier aggression when crated (something that also improves the longer he’s in one place).

We will provide training, food, supplies and medical. Our trainer is happy to be there every step of the way with Peppy!

Wow how Cookie’s life has changed in just a coup

Wow how Cookie’s life has changed in just a couple short months!
You may remember when we rescued Cookie - her and her feline sister were abandoned in a yard when their owners decided to move and leave them behind. We rushed right over to get these girls out of the yard. Cookie was kept as an outdoor dog and was not an easy one to catch - you could tell she wanted affection, approaching you with curiosity, but was so scared that she would snap and run when you tried to touch her.
After some time, we were able to catch her.
She opened up within a couple of days in her initial foster home. She was so quick to be trusting, affectionate and seeking attention.

She then moved to a new foster home, and that amazing foster home became her forever home. She’s receiving all the love now, and is such a happy dog. We are thrilled Cookie has such a great person to love her as she’s always deserved.

These 8 puppies were found in a bucket 😢 there are 8 of them, they’re 4-5 weeks old, and the shelter thinks they’re Labs.
We want to rescue them, but we’d have to move fast.
We need either 1 foster to take all 8, or 2 fosters to each take 4, until they’re 8 weeks old and can then be split up.
