He does start to get possessive of “his person” so its important all people in the home share responsibilities for him, so he doesn’t get possessive of 1 person. He also eventually gets possessive if other dogs go near his person, if boundaries aren’t established from the beginning. One of our trainers will help guide you on how to implement these boundaries!
